In the final month before graduating, our 8th graders go through a process of reflecting on who they are, how they’ve grown and changed over their years as a child and a student at Red Cedar, what they consider to be their most important values, and what are their hopes and intentions for the next steps in their life. They then write a paper that examines all this and asserts their readiness to graduate.

Students read these papers at their graduation to the school community including students, parents, grandparents, friends and alum. It’s a rite of passage for the students and a special night of celebration.

Families, please sign up for a food to bring — hors d’oeuvres or a contribution for the dinner. Hannah sent the link via email.
